World Book Day 2026
We had a fantastic World Book Day in school celebrating the theme “Express Yourself Through Art.” Children explored books linked to different artists and expressed their learning through creative artwork.
EYFS were inspired by Hervé Tullet, KS1 explored the bold geometric patterns of the Ndebele Tribe, LKS2 discovered the vibrant style of Keith Haring, and UKS2 examined the powerful street art of Banksy.
Children designed creative t-shirts and collaborated to produce impressive large murals inspired by the artists they studied.
It was wonderful to welcome so many parents to our reading morning and again at the end of the day to view the finished murals. The children were incredibly proud of their work.
