School Dinners

Our school cook and her team serve a wide variety of nutritious and healthy meals. Southwold lunchtimes are ‘family service’, meaning the older children serve the younger children with tables set out properly for mealtimes.

There is a choice between vegetarian and meat options.

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 now receive free school meals under the Government’s universal infants free school meals scheme. Please see the school office for details. However, if you would usually qualify for ‘Free School Meals’ we would ask that you still apply as this forms part of our school’s funding. The school office are happy to provide any information you may need.

For all other children, a school lunch costs £2.05 per day, £10.25 per week. If you think your child may be entitled to a free school meal, please telephone Pupil Benefits on 0115 915 4084 or click this link to download an application form or find out more information:

Anita, our school cook, has been speaking to the children about what they like to eat for lunch. She has changed the lunch menu in response to pupil feedback. The new menu is available below with copies also available in the school foyer.
