Opal Play – New Scooters 🛴

A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to Mrs Taylor’s Memorial Fund. Thanks to your generosity, we have purchased 31 new scooters for our children.

These exciting additions to our OPAL play provision will promote physical activity, balance, coordination and imaginative play, helping children to stay active and have fun at playtime.

We are incredibly grateful for this lasting gift, which will be enjoyed by our pupils for years to come. 💙

Opal Play

Our children are enjoying strumming guitars, grilling BBQ, wearing superhero capes, and dressing up for special occasions. There’s something magical about watching children embrace creativity, friendship, and joy together. We love OPAL Play! 🎸

OPAL Play

During OPAL Play, something magical happened ✨ A humble box became a car, a chair, a transformer, a drum! They even played musical boxes!

Children used their scientific knowledge to build a bug hospital. Others enjoyed examining daisis.

What started as simple materials transformed into pure creative genius.

These moments of unstructured, purposeful play? They’re how young learners make sense of the world. And honestly, watching it happen is pretty amazing to witness. 🌟

OPAL Play – A Day of Pure Joy! ☀️

Our children have been enjoying the spring sunshine with all sorts of adventures! From building train tracks and chariots 🚂 to making music 🎵, they’ve been learning, laughing, and working together. Hide and seek kept everyone giggling 😄, and team games brought out their competitive spirit! Outdoor play like this truly shows the fun of learning with friends.

OPAL Play – We Love Playing in the Rain and Mud! ☔🌧️

Rainy days don’t stop the fun at our school! Through OPAL play, our pupils love exploring, splashing and getting muddy while developing creativity, teamwork and resilience. Outdoor play in all weathers helps children build confidence and enjoy learning through play—and the smiles say it all!

Opal Play: Indoor and Outdoor Adventures 🏠❄️

Pupils have been enjoying creative indoor play during the snowy weather, staying active and building teamwork and problem-solving skills while learning together indoors.

Opal Play – Great Fun!!

Pupils are enjoying such creative play and outdoor activities. They are developing their balance skills whilst walking on barrels! Preparing for Using tyres to create an obstacle course and developing their den space. Spring planting daffodil bulbs and demonstrated teamwork in building a walking trail. It’s lovely to see the children from all year groups working together.

Wearing wellies allowed them to access the play area more effectively, broadening opportunities for outdoor learning. These activities provided valuable hands-on experience while enhancing the school grounds for future use.

What a wonderful time enjoyed by all!

Opal Play: What a Difference the Wind Makes!

This week, our creative thinkers explored the magic of wind through Opal Play. From soaring hot air balloons to swirling parachutes, the children discovered how air and movement can transform play into a world of wonder. With curious minds and imaginative hands, they experimented, problem-solved, and let their ideas take flight—literally!

Opal Play… look what we built today!!

Wow… look at what our architects and engineers have transformed using crates, tubes, cardboard and crates into an incredible world of transportation and adventure! 🚂 From choo-choo trains to zooming airplanes, and even a cosy café for pit stops – their creativity knows no bounds! ✨

The playground turned into a bustling city today, complete with houses, slides, and yes, even a rollercoaster (because why not?)! 🎢

It’s amazing to see how a simple cardboard box can become anything in the hands of these imaginative minds! 🌟 Who knew recycling could be this much fun? 🎉
