Tree Planting On The School Field
Today, Monday 19th December 2016, we welcomed Cllr Glynn Jenkins into school, as he has enabled us to have a number of trees planted on our school field.
When the council removes a tree in the city, they have pledged to plant two trees somewhere else. Southwold Primary has benefitted from this initiative as we have space for the trees to grow.
City Council rangers worked with our children to plant acers and cherry trees in our Memorial Garden on the school field. We also have a number of fruit trees growing and one day should have a small orchard!
